A New Chapter at Circle City Metalworks

This year has brought some big changes for our little metal shop.

Back in May, we faced a tough moment when we lost a key member of our team—our fabricator, welder, designer, customer-service guy, and all-around shop anchor. Life circumstances and an injury pulled him away suddenly, and the shop had to pause, regroup, and figure out its next chapter. It wasn’t easy. Circle City Metalworks has always been a hands-on, heart-driven operation, and losing someone who handled so much left a real gap.

Over the past several months, Ashley and Ryan have been working behind the scenes on a path forward—revitalizing the shop, rebuilding our workflow, and making sure the creative energy that’s carried us since 2020 keeps going strong as we enter our sixth year.

We’re excited to share that Circle City Metalworks is officially back in motion.

We’ve welcomed a new fabricator and artist, Nathan Storm, a talented Indianapolis creative and graduate of the Herron School of Art. Nathan brings incredible artistry, technical skill, and a fresh creative spark to the shop. He’s now leading fabrication and helping us develop new ideas, new concepts, and new pieces of functional steel art.

Nathan and Ryan will be working side by side—artist to artist—designing, sketching, experimenting, and building everything from custom wall art and signage to functional metalwork, furniture, holiday gifts, and client commissions. And of course, we’re continuing to produce all the classic designs our customers have come to love over the years.

As always, Circle City Metalworks is owned and operated by Ashley and Ryan Mullin, who started this adventure in 2020. Year six feels like a rebirth, and we’re grateful for everyone who has supported us through the ups and downs.

If you’ve been thinking about a custom piece, a gift, new signage, or just something unique for your home or business, now is a perfect time to reach out. We’re excited to create with you again.

Here’s to a new chapter, new ideas, and a shop full of sparks flying.
